Service terms
Written in plain language on purpose. Ordering any paid service means you've read and agreed to these — the intake form asks you to confirm it.
1. What we are, and are not
Oguraso is an information and reservation-assistance service operated by Anna Woof as a sole proprietorship in California, USA, together with her husband Conrad. We check travel plans, and for the arrangements service we make reservations on your behalf, in your name, by contacting establishments in Japanese.
- We do not sell, book, or arrange transportation of any kind — no flights, sea travel, rail, buses or taxis. Transport information in your documents is guidance only; you purchase all tickets yourself.
- We do not sell travel packages, accommodation, meals, or admissions, and we never hold or transmit money you owe to any establishment. You pay every restaurant, inn and activity directly. Our fee is for our arranging and checking work only.
2. Our promise, exactly
If a reservation we made on your behalf falls through — the establishment cancels or has no record of it — we will attempt to rebook it or an agreed substitute; if we cannot, we refund the part of our fee attributable to that arrangement. This is our full responsibility for a failed booking.
3. What remains yours
- Your choices and your travel. We give current, verified information at the time of checking, but establishments change hours, menus and policies without notice; weather and transport do as they please. How your trip unfolds is not within our control, and we are not responsible for costs, losses or disappointments beyond the promise in section 2.
- Dietary and health information. We pass on exactly what you tell us, in Japanese, at booking. You are responsible for its accuracy and completeness, and for your own decisions at the table. Establishments' handling of allergy information is theirs.
- Documents and insurance. Passports, visas, and travel insurance are your responsibility. We recommend travel insurance for every trip we arrange.
- Payments to establishments, including deposits, no-show fees and cancellation charges under the establishments' own policies (we tell you those policies in writing when we book).
4. Changes and cancellation
- Itinerary check: full refund any time before we deliver the checked plan.
- Arrangements — before calls begin: full refund.
- Arrangements — after calls begin: the fee is earned and non-refundable, but we will still politely cancel any bookings you no longer want, at no extra charge.
- Changes: reasonable adjustments are part of the service; a re-planned trip (new dates or a substantially new route) is a new order.
- If we must cancel for reasons on our side, you receive a full refund — that is the extent of our liability for it.
5. The limit
Our total liability to you, for anything arising from our services, is limited to the fee you paid us. We are two people arranging trips with care, and our prices reflect exactly that scope of responsibility.
6. Practical points
- Support hours during travel are stated in your confirmation document; messages outside them are answered the next morning, Japan time.
- These terms are governed by California law. If something goes wrong, write to us first — a fair fix or a refund has always been faster than anything else.
